Topic: The Mysterious Benedict Society
Fantasy mystery books or movies are fun. It makes us think, "What will happed next?", and can make us feel nervous. Also, it gives us vararious thoughts and helps us to go to a new world. This is why I like fantasy books or movies and one of my favorite book is called, 'The Mysterious Benedict Society'.
Good books have specific descriptions help us to imagine what the author wants to talk about and makes us feel as if we are inside the book. This makes the book unique and fun. For example, this book introduces the characters and places as it goes along. The author doesn't rush to talk all of them at once, but he keep revealing the secrets in the past and gives us specific details about them as we follow along. Also, he talks about incidents or something else which in not important. Yes. It is not important, but it could be a small evidence or some funny informations. It can he helpful. We could know more things when the author talk about these unimportant events. It means it is better to explain in a fun way, rather than nothing. Fun words and details make a good book like, 'The Mysterious Benedict Society'.
Now, you might be curious what kind of book this is. This book is a mystery book. O.K. More longer. Four children try to save the world. This could sound wierd because almost all super heros try to save the world, but this book is different. These special children solve a lot of misteries and are very smart. They help each other and agree to be in this dangerous mission which can lead them to death. They learned Morse code and put on stop of Mr. Curtain's evil plan, who is Mr. Benedict's twin brother. Mr. Benedict is very kind and helps the children to succeed their plan. Also, he is the man who makes a group to stop Mr. Curtain. He made this silly test which seems impossible to finish. It has 50 pages and has a lot of words and questions. Reading can be easy, but the thing is that it has a lot of difficult words and historical incidents. Everybody, who came to see this test bursted into tears, screamed, grabbed their hair, and did a lot of other stuffs which shows us how horrible the test is, but for some children, it was easy. This is how the group, 'The Mysterious Benedict Society', was made up.
and there is a reason. It's not because he is actually sticky when we touch him, but it's because everything he sees or reads sticks to his mind. He can remember everything when he simply reads it. That's why he is so smart. He could be smarter than 3 adults who went to a great college, but when he gets worried, he keeps polishing his spectacles with his cloth. Anyway, another child named 'Kate' is brave. She tries everything even it it is scary. She really likes to have an adventure. The most interesting part of her is that she always brings her red bucket with her. The bucket contains a rope, flashlight, a lot of keys, and many other stuffs which can help her in emergency. lastly, 'Constance' is three years old. First, I didn't know why she was so short in the picture in front of the book, but that was the truth. She was 3 years old, but she can walk easily and can think like her friends. Also, she can think what she can't see. For example, she had said that their enemy is around here when she couldn't see their enemy. These makes them all special.
'The Mysterious Benedict Society' is a great book to read. I really recommend this book because it helps you to think logically by trying to be like them. Your not going to regret when you read this book.
